In December, I applied for a contest organized by the French Consulate in New Orleans: Le Kamishibaï 2019. My students and I worked hard to create and illustrate a story titled: Where is my LOUISIANA? whose theme this year was the multilingualism.
February 27, a committee meet in New Orleans to choose the 3 finalists for Louisiana.
The jury was composed of:
- Dr. Jean-Xavier Brager, Assistant Professor at Loyola and also director;
- Dalt Wonk, author and illustrator of youth books;
- Lucia Hammer, Target Language Materials and Assessment Coordinator at ISL;
- Nicolas Torres, Cooperation attaché for French.
I am very pleased to announce that our story has been selected. Mr. Nicolas TORRES invited us to La Résidence de France, to present our story.
